ROAD BIKE
In Diano Marina cycling becomes a common sport already from the early 50s, when the great cyclist champions stayed to train.
From the cities you enter one of the most famous tracks of Italy, the cycling path of Ponente Ligure, 24 km of length, paved and for families too, very pleasant for its view overlooking the beautiful sea. Expert cyclists usually choose uphill tracks that lead to Diano Castello, Lingueglietta and Laghetti Lecchiore. Very famous is also Strada delle Grandi Vittorie, which goes from Alassio to Sanremo.
MOUNTAIN BIKE AND E-BIKE
For MTB or E-bike lovers we must advice Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, that can be done from beginning to end or just a part of it, on the base of your physical training and speed. Its path which is parallel to the coast has fascinating landscapes.
You can’t also miss the Golfo Dianese Bike Park, which has 7 trails with wonderful views and more than 200 km of dirt tracks for Cross Country, Enduro and E-Bike excursions. Its Antenne Track, the most famous, hosts the famous “Jump in the Blue”, a jumping-off point on the sea which is known by all the Europe fans. For who loves challenges, Via del Sale is the perfect one for sure: from the Alps to the sea, this road gets to Liguria’s most high point, Monte Saccarello.
Golfo Dianese territory, which we belong to, is a part of the “perfect for cycling” Flower Riviera. It’s small, but really offers endless natural and cultural beauties: boroughs on top of hills or down at sea, vineyards and olive groves which run along together with a mountain and valley vegetation framed in the sky’s and water’s colours which melt together in the distance.
