DIANO MARINA ON MOUNTAIN BIKE

Where there are mountains there are climbs and where there are climbs there is always someone who is eager to climb them to relish the shot of adrenalin of rushing down the other side.

This is even more sensational if the backdrop is the marvellous scenery of the Italian Riviera, and the Alta Via Dei Monti Liguri in particular. This route is more than 400 km long and runs through Liguria, from Ventimiglia to La Spezia, offering views of scattered forts and villages in a landscape enclosed between the mountains and the sea.

If you’re not an experienced cyclist but you don’t want to miss this spectacle, why not rent an e-bike; that is, a pedal assisted mountain bike.

At Diano Marina fun on an MTB is also guaranteed at the Golfo Dianese bike park with its 6 trails and more than 200 km of dirt tracksfor Cross Country, Enduro, All Mountain and E-Bike riding, made even easier by the Bike Shuttle Service.

This is the bike park where there is the Antenne route, the most famous of Diano Marina, because it has the legendary “Salto nel blu”, a panoramic descent with breath-taking view that is famous throughout Europe.

Great hotel

We are staying for 7 nights, as part of a group and not only do we like the place, but so do the others in the group. Our spacious room (with hangers in the wardrobe..!!) has a balcony overlooking the pool and although you can hear the road, ignore the previous and historic ‘railway’ comments - as that was rerouted away from the coast a year ago. The hotel is very clean, has a selection of areas to relax and the food is very good. A short walk from the beaches and the charming town. Would recommend.

“Great Holiday”

Had a fantastic time at this hotel with our two daughters (5 and 9). Loved the wee 'themed nights' they had every few nights. Our youngest daughter was given a teddy when we arrived on her bed. It is now her most treasured possession and its name.....Raffy!!! What a lovely welcoming touch. Lovely staff, great food, clean hotel - booked up for 2016, can't wait!!!

Great pool… with a good hotel around!

During the first week of September (please note, not in crammed August nor July...) we were very very lucky as we got every single day with bright sun, clear blue sky and lovely temperature. Thus, almost everything at Raffy shinned, thanks also to a bunch of characteristics that make this hotel a pretty good pick for most of the families....

Good value hotel for families

We stayed here for 4 nights in August - as a family of 5 we had a room with a double bed, bunkbeds and a single bed - it was spacious with a small entrance hall (handy for storing airbeds, etc.) and a large bathroom. The beach is a short walk away through backstreets and the facilities at the beach were great…
